Introducing The Farm & Fauna Botanical Collection at Fig Hollow Farm. Some collections begin with a sketchbook. This one began with watching...

At Fig Hollow Farm, inspiration does not arrive on a schedule. It wanders through the back pasture at dusk, rustles the oak leaves overhead, and settles quietly by the pond in the early morning hours. The Farm & Fauna Botanical Collection was born from paying attention to the small, familiar moments that happen every day here on the land and from the animals that share this space with us, both wild and well loved. This collection is a visual love letter to the creatures that make the farm feel alive.

Life Around the Farm

If you spend enough time in one place, you begin to notice patterns. The fox that slips across the pasture with practiced ease, always just at the edge of sight. The owl who has claimed the great oak as home, watching quietly from above as night settles in. The frogs that return year after year to the pond, announcing themselves each evening like a familiar chorus. These animals are not visitors. They are residents. They belong here as much as the soil and the trees.

Over time, these encounters stopped feeling incidental and started feeling meaningful. They became part of the rhythm of the farm. The Farm & Fauna Collection is my way of honoring that rhythm.

Each botanical print draws from these everyday moments, blending woodland animals with layered foliage, flowers, branches, and vines inspired by classic botanical illustrations and early Arts and Crafts design. The result is something that feels timeless, grounded, and quietly whimsical.

Inspired by Companions, Not Just Wildlife

Alongside the wild creatures are our own companions, the dogs and cat who move through daily life with us. They nap in sunlit corners, follow along garden paths, and keep watch from porch steps. Their personalities are woven into the fabric of the farm just as much as the fox in the pasture or the owl in the oak. Including our own animals in this collection felt essential. They are part of the story. These prints are not meant to be perfect portraits. Instead, they capture a feeling. Loyalty. Curiosity. Watchfulness. Comfort. Each animal illustration is intentionally placed within a botanical setting, so they feel like part of the land, not separate from it. This is how life feels here. Everything is connected.

The Look and Feel of the Collection

The Farm & Fauna Collection is rooted in a love for vintage design. You will see nods to early 1900s botanical prints, storybook illustrations, and tapestry-like compositions. Rich, earthy color palettes were chosen to echo the tones found outdoors. Mossy greens, warm browns, deep blues, muted golds, and soft creams appear throughout the collection.

Nothing about this line is loud or trendy. It is meant to feel collected rather than curated. Like something you might stumble upon in an old bookshop, a country home, or a well-loved farmhouse kitchen. These designs live comfortably on tote bags and mugs because they are practical pieces that move through daily life. Farmers market trips, morning coffee breaks, garden days, and everyday errands all deserve something beautiful and useful.

Why The Farm & Fauna Botanical Collection Matters

This collection is about slowing down. It is about noticing what is already around us and finding beauty in what feels familiar. In a world that moves quickly and constantly asks for more, there is something grounding about returning to the land and the creatures that share it with us.

The Farm & Fauna Collection is an invitation to carry a piece of that feeling with you. A reminder of quiet mornings, watchful eyes from the trees, muddy boots by the door, and animals who make a place feel like home. Each piece is designed with intention and care, guided by a deep appreciation for nature, craftsmanship, and the stories that live in everyday moments.

A Collection That Will Continue to Grow

The Farm & Fauna Collection is not finished. Just like life on the farm, it will continue to evolve. New animals will appear. New botanical elements will be added. As the seasons change, so will the collection.

This line is meant to grow slowly, thoughtfully, and in step with the land that inspired it, by the woodland creatures, farm animals, and beloved companions that share life on the land. Each piece featuring vintage botanical artwork, rich colors, and timeless design. This collection celebrates nature, storytelling, and the quiet beauty of everyday farm life.

Thank you for being here, for supporting Fig Hollow Farm, and for sharing in the love of secondhand charm, handmade goods, and the quiet beauty of life close to nature.

As always and with much gratitude...

Jennifer
